BERRY JOB DESCRIPTION FOR:

HARVESTING

All plants are Machine Harvested

Positions available for:

  • Machine operators - experienced only
  • Packers
  • Graders
  • Various packing type jobs

Working hours:

  • We harvest during the cooler hours of the night as the berries handle better
  • The machine harvesters start at 6pm and continue until approximately 3:30am
  • The packhouse starts at 8pm and operates until all fruit is packed (about 4am)
  • We operate 7 days per week on a 4 days on, 1 day off roster

 
Pay Rates:
Payment is on an hourly rate according to experience and level of responsibility

PRUNING / TRAINING

Method:

  • Boysenberry Training involves the cutting out of last years fruiting canes and the weaving in of newly grown cane.


Requirements:
  • Willingness to work outdoors during the winter
  • All equipment will be supplied
  • Full training given

Payment on a per plant basis
