Boysenberry Training – Seasonal Orchard Work (June – August)
Join our orchard team and help prepare the vines for a successful boysenberry crop. As a cane trainer, you’ll work as part of a team to train the new season’s canes using the correct techniques provided by your supervisor.
Your tasks will include:
- Cutting and pulling out old canes.
- Tying up every new cane securely (taking care not to break any).
- Removing dibs.
- Marking and reporting any broken posts or issues with the trellis system.
You’ll receive guidance from a Quality Supervisor to ensure work is carried out to the required standard. Gloves and protective gear will be provided and must be used for your safety.
This role is ideal for people who are practical, enjoy hands-on outdoor work, and take pride in supporting the growth of premium New Zealand boysenberries.
