Apple Harvest Quality Control (QC) – Seasonal Orchard Work (February – April)

Join the Wai-West Horticulture team for the apple harvest and help us deliver the highest-quality fruit from orchard to packhouse. We’re looking for detail-focused, reliable people to work as Quality Controllers (QC) during our busy harvest season.

About the role
As a QC, you’ll be out in the orchards checking harvested fruit to ensure it meets quality standards before it leaves the block. You’ll work closely with harvest teams to identify issues early and maintain consistency across all fruit picked.

Your key tasks will include:

Inspecting harvested apples for size, colour, and defects
Monitoring bin counts and labelling accuracy
Communicating clearly with pickers and supervisors to resolve quality issues
Recording data and reporting results throughout the day

What you’ll bring:

Clear communication skills and a practical mindset
Reliability and a positive attitude under pressure
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
Previous orchard or QC experience is an advantage, but full training is provided
