Apple Harvest Tractor Driver – Seasonal Orchard Work (February – April)

Join Wai-West Horticulture for the apple harvest and take on an important role keeping fruit moving safely and efficiently throughout the orchard. We are looking for confident, capable tractor drivers to support our busy harvest season and work alongside a great team.

About the role
As a harvest tractor driver, you will be responsible for transporting fruit bins around the orchard, supporting picking teams, and helping ensure the smooth flow of fruit to loading areas. You will spend your day outdoors, operating modern orchard tractors in a fast-paced but supportive environment.

Your key tasks will include:

Safely operate orchard tractors to shift empty and full fruit bins
Support picking teams by delivering, collecting, and organising bins
Follow daily harvest plans and instructions from supervisors
Maintain safe speeds and awareness around people, vehicles, and equipment
Perform basic checks on equipment and report any issues

What you’ll bring:

Previous tractor-driving experience (horticulture or farming preferred)
Good awareness of safety and surroundings
Reliability, strong communication, and a practical mindset
Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
Physically fit and prepared for outdoor work in varying conditions
