Kiwifruit Polling and Stringing – Seasonal Orchard Work (August – September)

Join our orchard team and help prepare vines for a successful kiwifruit crop. In this role, you’ll be involved in:

Polling – installing poles above the canopy to provide structure and support for vine growth.
Stringing – attaching strings from the canopy structure to guide new canes upward, ensuring strong, healthy vine development and future fruiting potential.

You’ll work under the guidance of a Quality Supervisor, who will provide clear instructions and ensure the work is completed to a high standard.

This role suits people who are comfortable with practical outdoor work, can follow directions carefully, and enjoy being part of a team. A good level of fitness, attention to detail, and a focus on safety will help you succeed.

Physical fitness and stamina – able to handle poles, string, and equipment while working outdoors for extended periods.
Practical, hands-on ability – comfortable with manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and tying string securely.
Attention to detail – ensures poles and strings are positioned correctly to support healthy cane growth.
Consistency – maintains high-quality work across multiple orchard rows.
Ability to follow instructions – listens carefully and applies guidance from the Quality Supervisor.
Teamwork – works cooperatively with others to complete tasks efficiently.
